Bentonite

Processing of bentonite is one of the important activities of the company Sedlecký kaolin a.s. Bentonite is a soft, fine-grained inhomogeneous raw mineral, its main component is clay mineral montmorillonite. Montmorillonite brings the distinctive features of bentonite: big sorption capacity, swelling in contact with water, binding power and high plasticity. Bentonites have versatile usage.

• Building industry - sealing in hydraulic engineering, additives to concrete and plasters, fillers in coating compositions.
