Calcined kaolin and mixtures

Nature of the materials:

High content of kaolinite and fine particles under 2 µm, content of aluminum oxide and high purity of washed kaolin allow to obtain products with excellent physical and chemical properties
The addition of powder aluminum oxide allows to get products with alumina content of up to 49 %
The processing technology enables to reach a very low content of cristobalite and a defined water absorption of the product

Technology:

Firing in range 800-1520 °C and sufficient dwell on maximum temperature determines the type and nature of calcined kaolin or mixture. The calcined kaolin is subsequently milled and sorted to the required grain size

kaolin chamottes with high mullite and minimal cristobalite content
white fillers
acid-proof grogs
stoneware grogs
alumina grogs with high brightness
lightweight chamotte
cordierite chamotte

Shipping calcined kaolin:

Most hard products are delivered in grain size 0-1 mm, 1-3 mm, 3-6 mm. Fractions 1-4 mm, 4-8 mm, 0-2 mm and 0-0,5 mm can be also supplied according to nature of product and customer´s demand. Powder fractions can be prepared too, our ultrafine milling technology can meet even more challenging demands on fractions under 0,3 mm; under 0,125 mm; under 0,075 mm. Softer products and mixtures can be supplied in very fine fractions : 0-63 µm, 0-20 µm, 0-10 µm, 0-5 µm and 0-2 µm.

Fired materials are usually delivered in Big Bags and paper sacks 25 kg.
